Ripple USD, explained without the trading jargon.
What is RLUSD? RLUSD is Ripple’s US dollar stablecoin. It is designed to maintain a value of one US dollar, with backing held in cash and cash equivalents. Market prices can still move above or below $1.
Read Ripple’s overview ↗ TWO DIFFERENT ASSETS RLUSD is not XRP. XRP is the XRP Ledger’s native asset and its price is market-driven. RLUSD is an issued stablecoin targeting $1. Holding RLUSD does not represent ownership of Ripple or an investment in XRP.
Choose your network carefully. Before sending funds, check that the receiving platform supports the exact network and token. A matching ticker alone does not identify the correct asset. Use the official token directory to verify addresses.
Official token directory ↗ Selling and redeeming differ. Selling RLUSD on an exchange depends on its market, liquidity and withdrawal rules. Direct issuer access has onboarding requirements. Check the terms of the provider you intend to use.
Issuer documentation ↗ DATA & METHODOLOGY Know what you’re looking at. Market capitalisation is the provider’s reported market value, not proof of reserve assets. Volume is a rolling 24-hour exchange figure. We never add overlapping snapshots to claim a period total. Charts use the available observations. Longer period selectors do not invent missing history. Provider timestamps, collection times and publication times are distinct. Saved data remains visible during an outage, with a freshness notice. The reserve card is a dated editorial disclosure. It is not refreshed by the market-data feed. Sources can differ in methodology. The publisher keeps each provider’s history separate. RLUSD Today is an independent information site. Data can be delayed or incomplete.
